Spectre of Salinas

Ernesto Zedillo is a quiet, unassuming man. He keeps his head down, silently advancing his political career during the twilight years of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. When the PRI’s presidential nomination goes against the will of President Carlos Salinas, Salinas is forced to pick a substitute on short notice. Chosen as the new presidential nomination, Zedillo finds himself riding the PRI wave all the way to the Presidency.

Despite his aims to improve the Mexican government and fight corruption, Zedillo quickly finds out that Salinas had only ever expected him to be a puppet; and has packed his administration full of shady loyalists who answer only to Salinas. As Zedillo’s presidency goes against the will of Salinas, Zedillo finds himself faced wrapped up in a decades long conspiracy to control the government that threatens to send him spiraling into madness!
